Cookie Policy
Last updated May 29, 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on creste.dev, operated by Creste LLC. For how we handle information more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
The short version
The Site uses Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how it is used. Analytics cookies are set only after you consent. In the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland we ask first via a consent banner; elsewhere consent is granted by default. Until then, Google Analytics runs in a restricted, cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode) that stores no identifiers on your device. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings.
Strictly necessary (no consent required)
- No cookies. The Site itself sets no strictly necessary cookies. It stores
two small preferences in your browser's local storage on your device:
creste-theme(your light/dark choice) andcreste-analytics-consent(whether you accepted or declined analytics). These never leave your device and are not used for tracking.
Analytics (consent-based)
We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google). When active, it sets
cookies — typically _ga and _ga_<id> — to measure visits and
usage patterns. These help us understand which pages are useful. The data is processed by
Google; see
Google's Privacy Policy
and
how Google uses cookies.
_ga— distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after ~2 years.-
_ga_<id>— persists session state for this property. Expires after ~2 years.
Managing your choice
- Use Cookie settings (also linked in the footer) to accept or decline analytics at any time.
- Decline, and no analytics cookies are set; any existing ones are cleared.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to opt out of Google Analytics across all sites.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
