Privacy Policy

Last updated May 29, 2026

This policy explains how Creste LLC ("Creste", "we", "us") handles information in connection with creste.dev (the "Site"). The Site is a static, informational website. It has no accounts, no forms, no e-commerce, and no advertising.

The short version

We run no advertising and sell no data. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used — and in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland it loads only after you accept via our consent banner; elsewhere it loads by default. You can change that choice anytime via Cookie settings. Aside from analytics, the only information that exists is the limited technical data our host needs to serve the Site securely, and anything you choose to send us by email.

Information we collect

Cookies and local storage

The Site sets no cookies of its own. It stores two preferences in your browser's local storage, on your device: creste-theme (your light/dark choice) and creste-analytics-consent (whether you accepted or declined analytics). These stay on your device, are never used for tracking, and you can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

Separately, Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g. _ga) when it is active. In the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland it loads only after you accept via our consent banner; elsewhere it loads by default. Full cookie names, retention, and opt-out options are in our Cookie Policy.

How we use information

Solely to operate and secure the Site and to reply to messages you send us. We do not use information for advertising or automated decision-making.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We rely on service providers to operate the Site: Cloudflare (hosting and security) and, when analytics is active, Google (Google Analytics), each processing data as described above. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Since we collect almost nothing, this usually concerns prior email correspondence. To make a request, email hello@creste.dev.

Data retention

We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to address your inquiry and meet legal or record-keeping obligations, then delete it.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
